Phew another week!

Had a relaxing easter break, unfortunately I was getting over this darn lumpy throat cold virus thingy..DH came down with it but it went to bronchitus...so he's been on antibiotics. Mind you gave him the excuse to sit in the sun without sunscreen on first of all...did I nag him....of course withit it by the evening the sun had got hold of his cheeks and they were puffed up.

Anyway on the knitting front, decided to start this pattern "Branching Out" done in Posh Socks Lucia. Notice the freebie knitting bag from Simply Knitting. Think this will look nice when its blocked.Tried to start a lace pattern from my Victorian Lace Book but keep getting confused with right and wrong sides.

Then on the spinning front we have this...actually sat on the sofa doing this last night...took about 3 hours which for me isn't bad going....its merino and am doing it in this gorgeous rose pink and then I have a equally gorgeous turquoise which when spun will ply together.

Where have I been, I ask you? Guess I'm behind on my blog reading or you've been a very busy gal! Nice knitting...really lovely spinning....and LOVE your Rayburn...snazzy red! I have a friend who has an AGA and I spend my time chatting with her doing that same thing...back against the bar with coffee in hand. What lovely thoughts!

I KNEW it LOL !!! I am lusting after a Lendrum. I only started to spin last October and just HAD to have a wheel so Hubby bought my Ashford Traveller which I do like but after seeing and trying out a Lendrum at our guild I totally love it and wished I had waited as it would have been the ideal wheel to take with us in the motorhome. I like the fact you can see the bobbin fully as you spin and you don't have those silly hooks, so simple but so effective

Its weird as I was going for the ashford traveller first off...and then 3 ladies at my guild had the lendrum...the lady who has been teaching me has had eight different wheels and said the lendrum is by far the best and easiest to use.also the maple mellows down to the most beautiful colour. I sat in the garden at the weekend treadling away. wonderful.
